If you’ve ever fancied trying mountain biking then now’s the perfect time to start with Ireland’s trail centres, in conjunction with Cycling Ireland, coming together for Bike Fest during Bike Week 2019
Bike Week is a celebration and promotion of all that’s great about bikes and cycling. Held over a week in June of each year with bike themed events organised by local authorities, community groups and cycling groups throughout Ireland.
From free bike checks, fun cycles, lunchtime city rides, heritage cycles, electric bike races, school cycling events, bike festivals, road races and much more. There’s something for every age and ability.
Cycling Ireland Bike Fest
Kickstarting Bike Week on June 22-23 Ballyhoura Trail Centre will have basic skill course aimed at beginners with their Trek Bicycle demo fleet on hand too.
biking.ie will have evening introductory session to mountain biking at both Ballinastoe and Ticknock on June 24, 27 and 28 from 17.00-20.00.

Glencullen Adventure Park, aka The GAP, are hosting a free day for beginners on Wednesday June 26th as part of Bike Fest.
Top female racer Michelle Muldoon will be on hand to coach the basics of MTB skills. There will be free lift access to blue trails and free rental if required.
