With summer in session, Belfast based giant Nukeproof have come out of the closet with a brand new MTB clothing range – Ride Wear.
Completing their catalogue of bicycles and hard parts, Nukeproof are now looking to take on some of the big players in the shorts and jersey world with their four lineups of trail, enduro and DH riding kit.
Without just jumping on the clothing band wagon, they appear to be in it for the long haul, as Ride Wear has been the result of three years of development.
That development, they say, has been led in house themselves by asking, as guys and gals who ride, what it is they want in riding kit, while also working closely with athletes to produce an end product that fits inline with the brand’s DNA and attitude.
The all-new Spring ’18 Nukeproof Ride Wear line features four lines: Outland & Blackline — their premium performance trail wear, Kashmir — gravity focused Downhill kit and Nirvana — their ultimate trail/all mountain/enduro range.
Discipline: Trail/All Mountain/Enduro
The Nirvana shorts are constructed from high performance Cordura fabrics and are race fitting thanks to the lightweight, durable four-way stretch Cordura ripstop fabric. They are seam welded around the hems and waist for comfort are are triple stitched seams around the crotch for durability.
There’s integrated features such as a pouch to store goggles or glasses on transitions and climbs, a secure D clip to keep van keys safe and fully adjustable waist tabs. Internal silicon grippers help secure the shorts in place on trails.
A matching breathable and lightweight stretch jersey includes woven anti snag sleeves with Cordura patches to brush off trail debris. The jersey is seam welded around the neck, hem and cuffs for comfort and has silicon grippers on shoulders to keep hydration packs in place.
