Reigning Under 21 World Champion Killian Callaghan will make his first appearance of the 2018 Enduro World Series this weekend in Austria.
Missing in action on the world stage this year, Callaghan makes his start at round five on the Austrian-Slovenian border, as part of his European Summer MTB tour.
A surprise absence from the series opener in Chile back in March, the Santa Cruz rider was frustratingly left without a full-series ride for 2018, despite being one of the championship’s standout youngsters of 2017.
Returning to full-time employment, he went back to work with Mooney’s Hyundai Garage. His only oversees trip prior to hitting the road in a van was an invite to Portual’s Post De Lima, a race he won by over two minutes.
Our sponsored athlete & World Enduro champ Killian Callaghan Racing popped into us before he catches his boat for an amazing trip biking around Europe. Best of luck dude & enjoy yourself.

Loading up his Hyundai van in early June, Killian is on the road for the next two months living, working and riding bikes out of it. He’s so far taken in the Crankworx double-headers in Innsbruck and Lets Gets, riding Downhill for 23rd place in Austria.
All this came following a trip out that was, as they say, character building. A flat tyre before the ferry was followed by a putting petrol into a diesel van that required a motorway tow truck and unscheduled overnight stop in a random garage. Further down the road he also was honoured with a full-cavity (the van that is, we think!) custom search before eventually arriving to Innsbruck.
Now back in the EWS paddock, Killian is keen to get stuck in on his Santa Cruz High Tower and show what he’s truly capable of having stepped up to the Men’s category for 2018.
After EWS round four he’ll stop in Italy for a downhill race before finishing off with EWS round five in Italy.
