The Cuchulainn Off-Road Club kicked off their three-round summer Enduro series in Ravensdale with James Fleming bagging the win.
Perfect weather greeted the 19 riders who turned out to race the three-stage Tuesday evening event.
Stage 1 was a mixture of Smooth Criminal and Red Alert, then back up for a full run of Red Alert for stage 2.
A hefty climb took riders up to the third and final stage, but offered a classic four-minute plus blast for many to the finish. In total 15km and 500m climbing was the order of the evening.
All told, James Fleming (FMX Photography) was the man to beat. He swept all three stages to take a 32-second margin of victory over Martin Butterly in a comfortable runner-up position.
The series returns to Ravensdale for round two on June 11th – don’t miss that one if you want to top up on practice ahead of next month’s Irish Enduro Champs there on June 22-23.
It then finishes off with a race at the nearby Lumpers in July.
