With winter in full flow, Irish cycle clothing company Galibier announce the arrival of their updated Mistral foul weather jacket.
If you’re battling the biting winter winds and January downpours out on the roads, Galibier’s soft shell Mistral jacket is deigned to keep you warm in all weathers.
Now in its fifth generation for 2020/21, the Mistral sees an improved base material. The new waistband design use 4-individual fabrics to match the pedalling motion and stay in place.
A new pocket design and tailored profile evolves Galibier’s best-selling winter garment and is now available in a sleek gunmetal grey, along with black.
The zinc orange back and arm highlights use a lighter 3-stage membrane for improved thermal and moisture regulation.
While Galibier say the soft shell is not 100 per cent waterproof, the material is DWR treated before production, giving a lasting water shedding treatment.
Combined with a base layer, Galibier says it protects you in temperatures between 5-14 degrees C. Adding a long sleeve jersey sees it perform down to freezing.
As we have produced larger quantities this drop, and as a democratic apparel company, this has permitted us to reduce the price to £69/€82. If you have one, you don’t need another- but they are nice.
