The popular ŠKODA Celtic Series has postponed its opening sportive in Conamara until August 29th due to Coronavirus COVID-19.
The move will see the Ring of Clare become the opening sportive on July 18th.
Tour de Boyne Valley has also been pushed forward by one week to Saturday August 22nd to accommodate the new date for the Tour de Conamara.
Already sold out, Tour de Conamara, an International Cycling Sportive, attracts up to 3000 cyclists across the 140km and 80km routes.
Entries are still available for Ring of Clare, while Tour de Boyne Valley have yet to open.

In the interest of public health and on the advice of the relevant authorities, the 2020 ŠKODA Tour de Conamara, scheduled to take place on Saturday 23rd May is being postponed to Saturday 29th August 2020.
This decision is taken in the best interest of all cyclists, marshals, event team and the host communities across Connemara.
We hope that all will be back to normal at that stage, allowing us to cycle safely together and deliver a fantastic ŠKODA Tour de Conamara 2020 experience for all cyclists.
All participants who have registered for the 2020 event will be automatically transferred to the rescheduled event.
Cyclists are provided with a seven day window to cancel their registration until March 25th. After this date cyclists can still transfer their place to another cyclist.
