The 2019 Irish MTB diary is filling up fast with the Vitus First Tracks Enduro Cup announcing their schedule of racing for the coming year.
With four rounds planned, the series is offering a mix of new and established events to sink your tyre tracks into.
Round one kicks things off on April 6/7 with a completely new venue at Ravensdale, Co. Louth.
Hugging the border beside Jonesborough and the Carrickdale Hotel, the all-natural trails of Ravensdale are a real treat for riders with plenty of techy stuff to keep you on your toes.
One month later and it’s a quick dart over to the old favourite of Bigwood on May 11/12, where the smell of blue bells await. There were good vibes from Bigwood this year, so it should deliver the action again.
Round three should be the highlight of the series for many as Rostrevor plays host to the action on June 22/23.
Big stages were knocked out in stunning weather this year, meaning everyone will be itching to get back between the tapes in 2019.
The race also acts as the 2019 Irish National Enduro Championships, so there will be a lot on the line for this one.
After opening the series in 2018, Castlewellan has the honour of signing things off in 2019. This year organisers opened up some fresh tracks in the trail centre to create a vibey-mix of tech and pedal sections.
With the final stage of the year ending on the pump track, eyes will be strained to see who’s got that bit left in the tank to jump the fence!
